Over the Rhine

The Ohio husband and wife duo of Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist have developed a fanatical following with their evocative, earthy songwriting and impassioned delivery. Over The Rhine began as a conventional four-piece rock band but eventually pared down to its core duo. Their most recent CD, "The Trumpet Child", opens with I "Don't Want To Waste Your Time" and that could be their motto -to write good songs that don't waste anyone's time.

Take Five Tuesdays is a new concert series at the Hopkins Center for the Arts and will feature a variety of national touring artists. Relax and recharge at one or more of the first five Tuesday night concerts. Hopkins Center for the Arts will also host a social hour beginning at 6 pm with light hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and a chance to unwind with friends before heading into the intimate theater for the music beginning at 7 pm.
