Two-time Grammy award winning Hootie & the Blowfish has played to millions of fans and sold over 25 million albums worldwide. After a decade of hard work, the group broke out in 1994 with infectious hits such as “Hold My Hand” and “Only Wanna Be With You.” With the rich, bluesy vocals of Darius Rucker and gleeful harmonies of guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim “Soni” Sonefeld, Hootie & the Blowfish make a stop at the Minnesota Zoo this summer.

The Hootie & The Blowfish Homegrown Concert is spearheading an effort to collect school supplies for economically disadvantaged schools in each community it visits. Hootie & The Blowfish are asking their fans to bring a school supply item with them to the concert as a donation. All the school supplies that are collected that evening will be delivered to local schools in the community in the most need.
