Martin Zellar & the Hardways

Martin Zellar & the Hardways

Immediately after graduating from high school Martin moved to Minneapolis and formed the country rock band the Gear Daddies with friends and fellow Austinites Nick Ciola, Billy Dankert and Randy Broughten. The Gear Daddies had some success, a lot of fun, and considered themselves lucky to have been part of the 1990’s Twin Cities music scene. They amicably parted ways in 1992.

Martin went on to record and perform as a solo artist and with his band, the Hardways. That’s what he still does today. He also drinks coffee.

Martin currently lives in Central Mexico with his wife and three children.
